A woman has shared the ingenious way she eats crumpets – proving that the rest of us are doing it all wrong.
Anouska Emily, from South London, is racking up the views with her controversial take on the British food favourite.
While the rest of us are out here watching butter melt into the delicious treat, the 34-year-old mum has levelled up.
Introducing: the crumpet churro.

In a video that has over 11,000 likes, Anouska – who has two sons, Shafi, four, and Kai, five – shares how she stuffs her crumpet with chocolate.
She then tops it with cinnamon, sugar and butter, and pops the snack in the air fryer.
Just 15 minutes later, it’s done – with the chocolate filling oozing out as she gently squeezes the treat.
The mum, who is a content creator and recipe developer, but also works in education, has made savoury versions of the stuffed crumpet, too.

Her fan favourite contains two classic British add-ons: baked beans and cheese.
“I wanted to make something sweet for dessert and both of my sons love churros,” she told What’s The Jam.
“Nothing obviously beats fresh fried churros but this is just as good, in the comfort of your home, it doesn’t break the bank and you can make it in minutes.

“I’ve already had requests from family and friends to make it for when they next come over for dinner.
“The boys eat fruit and vegetables with every meal but we enjoy treats too, they are both creative and get involved in the kitchen all the time with mummy.”
The best part? The dish costs just under one quid, depending on what brand of chocolate you buy.
Anouska’s version was actually just 50p for the crumpet itself, as she had sugar, cinnamon and butter already at home, and some leftover chocolate from Easter.
She said: “Everyone has gone crumpet crazy but I love it!
“Creating little, fun and affordable hacks is what everyone needs, especially parents!
“It’s what I love to do and seeing others recreate is just amazing.
“I’m a mum with two boys who always try to make food fun and enjoyable for everyone in the whole family, I still find it mind-blowing that people enjoy my ideas and I appreciate all the love and support I get from my followers.”
Many of Anouska’s social media users have been left blown away by the nifty crumpet hack.
“Omg what is this witchery,” said Kylie.
Another person said: “I would like 10 of these”
“Omg stoppp the chocolate oozing out,” said someone else.
“Now that an idea,” said Dafni.
But some people are on the fence.
“That looks wrong,” said Ron.
Pammie added: “I’m not sure how I feel about this.”
