A man has gone viral after painstakingly handwriting the entire script to Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring into a piece that is now selling for thousands of pounds.
Mike Matola is an Emmy-winning artist with over 300,000 followers on TikTok, where he shares his unique pieces inspired by famous films and faces such as Taylor Swift, The Beatles and Back to The Future.

The 38-year-old can spend anywhere between 20 hours and six months on a piece, depending on its size and intricacy.

One of his most recent artworks has left Lord of the Rings fans in shock at just how intricate it is – with the video getting over 6.1m views.
The TikTok clip (@mikematola ) shows Frodo and Gandalf together, with their faces made up of shading in different words handwritten from the film script.
The piece is worth £5,500 ($7,000).
“Over a decade ago I needed a birthday gift for a friend,” Mike, from Seattle, Washington US, told What’s The Jam.
“I hand wrote out every album song and lyric to make a portrait of Thom Yorke, an English musician.

“Soon, more and more friends asked me to make them one as well.
“So I did and never stopped.”
He added: “Right now I’ve already been working on something for over a year.

“My originals or commissions sell for thousands of dollars and I sell prints of my artwork online so anyone can have one.”
Fans are now calling for the artist to do the same with the two other films in the trilogy.
The post has over 430,000 likes, as well as 1,150 comments so far.
One person said: “Imagine you run out of room and you’re at the end.”

Someone else wrote: “That’s really impressive. I hope people recognise the time and work into this piece.”
