A woman has discovered a mystical rainbow-coloured sea creature on a popular British beach.
Katie Maggs shared a video of the find, which has garnered 1.4 million views, after she spent two hours searching rock pools for the colourful creature.
Perched on a rock in the waters of Penzance, Cornwall, Katie zoomed her camera in to show the rare rainbow sea slug – also known as the Babakina anadoni.

The ethereal-looking being is shaped exactly like a slug, but has a unique edge.
It is bright pink in colour, with yellow spots on its body and white spots around its head.
In the video, Katie, who lives in the area, says: “Oh my god after two hours of looking today, we have just found our first rainbow sea slug.
“We really didn’t think we were going to find one and then we decided to walk off and go home and give up.
“We just found one at the last minute.
“Look at that beauty, oh my goodness.
“That is absolutely, ridiculously incredible.
“Look at the colours on that.
“Totally amazing, I can’t believe we found one today.
“We’re so happy.”
The rare species is usually found off the coast of France, Spain and Portugal.
According to a 2023 report, the creature has only been spotted four times in the UK.
Viewers of Katie’s video were just as impressed by the sighting of the creature, as reported by What’s The Jam.
Susan wrote: “Absolutely stunning. I would never have believed such things existed. It’s thanks to you.”
Someone else commented: “Ridiculously incredible is a very appropriate description!”
“It looks like something that would have enough venom to kill eight elephants,” joked Nathan.
Amie said: “It looks like a friendship bracelet.”
“I was not expecting it to be that beautiful. Wow,” added Chloe.
