A popular health café that has several branches in the UK has been slammed for going “too far” with its latest menu addition.

Joe & The Juice is renowned for its fresh juices and staples like the ‘Tunacado’ sandwich, which uses tuna mousse.

But the chain’s latest concoction has proved unpopular, to say the least.

In a video featured on What’s The Jam, the brand announced the ‘tuna mousse matcha’ – an iced matcha latte with a scoop of tuna mousse inside.

The post garnered three million views on TikTok and attracted thousands of comments from critics.

One person commented: “Tuna in matcha is WILD.”

“What the actual f**k,” said another baffled user.

Someone else added: “The marketing team has gone unhinged and I am here for it.”

“Too far,” said one critic.

Another viewer joked: “I’ve always wanted to go to Joe and the Juice until this very moment.”

“I think if you add a boiled egg I would give it a try,” said an open-minded user.

“Why Joe and the Juice??” another person demanded.

Someone else commented: “I genuinely enjoy the taste of matcha but this went tooo far bro.” [sic]

“You have the best matcha ever but with Tuna!!!!!!” said another viewer.

According to the chain’s menu online, the tuna mousse matcha isn’t currently available – and with the reaction online, possibly never will be…

Other unique flavours shared online by the Joe & the Juice team include bloody mary matcha, sriracha matcha – all of which they confirmed are “available in none of our stores”.
