The Loch Ness monster has “black head” and is over “three metres long”, a stunned holidaymaker has said after the latest sighting.

Mishawn Mielke was visiting Urquhart Castle on the banks of the famous waters.

She is convinced she then saw Nessie in the loch.

She said it had a black head and popped above the surface.

American tourist Mishawn said it created a wake in the water, which was more than three metres long.

The sighting was made at 2:45pm on 28 October, but has only just come to light.

It was reported to the Official Loch Ness Monster Sightings Register, as reported on What’s The Jam.

Mishawn, of Austin, Texas, US, said: “I first saw it and was like ‘wow’.

“That looks just like images I saw from the sightings website.

“It didn’t look like a wave; it actually looked like the head of something popping up.”

She added: “It made a distinct pattern in the water I couldn’t see anywhere else, kind of like its own wake.

“And then it was gone.

“From that distance, I’d say the water pattern was at least three metres long.”

It is the fifth possible sighting of the folklore monster this year.

The previous one was by Peter Hoyle on 15 October.

He said he saw a dark shape in the loch for 30 seconds before it vanished.

There were only three in the whole of 2024.

But the year before, there were 10, and there were six in 2022 and seven in 2021.
