A mysterious ‘wild-eyed beast’ has appeared in a trail-cam snap, sparking fears that the dreaded Chupacabra has returned.
The mythical beast is said to terrorise local farmers and agricultural workers throughout the Americas by drinking the blood of their livestock.
There have been numerous alleged sightings of Chupacabra since the 1970s, including as far north as Canada and as far south as Chile.

The South Florida Wildlands Association shared an image of a mysterious beast on their Facebook page on 15 March, as reported by What’s The Jam.

The “confusing photo” of the wild-eyed creature startled their 145,000 followers.
They accompanied the snap with the message: “Captured on a trail cam on public lands in Southwest Florida.
“Looks a little bit wrong and a little bit right for a number of different species.
“We have a strong hunch, but would like to see what comes in.

“Anyone want to venture a guess?”
The photo quickly went viral and attracted hundreds of comments.

Nathan agreed: “The Chupacabra.”
“The Chupacabra LOL,” said Becky.
Sara said: “Shape shifter.”
Timothy guessed: “Bobcat.”
Colleen suggested: “Panther.”

Malcolm said: “Oh my god, stop. It’s a cat, for crying out loud.”
The association said in response: “The appearance leans toward feral cat but the location is completely wrong.
“The paws seem too small for a panther. Even panther kitten tracks don’t get confused with bobcat tracks due to their large size.
“The muzzle is also a bit strange in this photo.
“From that by itself, seems like it could be canid or felid.”
“Hopefully we’ll get a daytime shot of the same critter soon.”
The mysterious animal is yet to be identified.
But it wasn’t the first time that Chupacabra, also known as the Goatsucker, has been spotted on a US trail.
In February 2023, the vampiric beast was snapped near Montgomery in Alabama.
Images showed a demonic-looking canine with lifeless grey eyes and patchy wrinkled skin.
The Alabama Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries Division (AWFFD) suggested the creature was the fearsome Chupacabra.
But in the end they came clean about the mysterious beast.
They said: “As much as we’d love a real cryptozoological confirmation, this Goatsucker is actually a coyote severely impacted by mange.
“The burrowing of mange mites leads to itching and hair loss, and some affected individuals can become quite debilitated.
“Things aren’t looking good for this fellow, but animals can live for an extended period of time with this malady.”
