A woman who lives with dozens of haunted dolls say Halloween is a particularly busy time in her household – with the dolls getting up to mischief.
Teej, a collector who also works as a paranormal investigator, has more than 50 dolls living in her home – all of which she claims are inhabited by a spirit.
And while things are already pretty odd in the household – with a dedicated room for the dolls and plenty of ‘activity’, including them hacking into her Amazon Alexa and even her dreams – Halloween is when things come to a head.

“We notice a higher level of paranormal activity around Halloween,” Teej, who lives in the US, told What’s The Jam.
“I believe this happens because of the heightened excitement and emotion that surround these times of year.

“When people come together to celebrate, there’s naturally more energy, both emotional and environmental, which can make it easier for paranormal activity to occur or be perceived.
“We make sure to give our haunted dolls a Halloween experience of their own each year.
“We dress them up in costumes, include them in our movie nights, and even set out candy for them on Halloween as offerings.

“Their room gets fully decorated for the season too.”
Teej and her partner communicate with their dolls via a ‘Spirit Wave’ – a tool that purports to generate a range of frequencies form radio signals, which spirits can interact with.
She said: “During our communication sessions, we love chatting about all things Halloween with them, if they’re up for it, so they feel completely included in the celebration.

“One thing they’ve been loving recently is giving movie reviews of the things we watch together using the spirit box.

“So far, their favourite Halloween movies this year have been Hocus Pocus and Practical Magic.”
Teej, who says Halloween is her favourite day of the year, has kept her 28,000 TikTok followers updated with the goings-on in her house – including the introduction of a new doll to the family, and strange events occurring in the early hours of the morning.
She has a security camera in the doll room to capture the dolls’ movements, and in a recent clip shared her findings.
She said: “October has made my haunted doll room weird.
“I have been catching the strangest things on my haunted doll room security camera every night for the last few days between 3:40 – 4:00 am.”

She then shows a clip, filmed at the second floor window, of flashes of light appearing behind one of the dolls, and banging noises, followed by a spider creeping down in front of the camera.
Other clips show dolls suddenly toppling over for seemingly no reason, while another video introduces Harrow the doll – who Teej describes as a “non-human spirit” with very strange effects.
She said: “He’ll pop you out of reality at will, and share the most confusing things, but they are always what you need to know.
“He can be very psychedelic in his imagery.
“You may lose time in the process.
“Right out of the box, he had me totally disoriented, dizzy and feeling faint.”
Teej says the doll “tried to convince people he was a prankster”, and appears as a rabbit in her dreams, with a “vibe” she likens to that of Alice in Wonderland’s Cheshire Cat character.
She added: “He has totally freaked out some of the most experienced investigators I know, but I am up for the challenge and ready to learn all about him.”
Teej started her creepy collection back in 2020, and only works with “positive” spirits – describing most of their interactions as “lighthearted” and “playful”.
She said: “My home is my safe space, and I won’t risk inviting in any spirit that could bring harm or disruption to me or my family.
“By setting clear boundaries, I’m able to stay open to paranormal experiences while still protecting the comfort and peace of our home.
“So far, I haven’t had any negative experiences with the haunted dolls in my collection.”
