The eye-catching moment heavy rain fell onto a red beach has gone viral after it left a striking flowing river.
Omid Badroj shared the rare sight with his 75,000 followers on Instagram (@hormoz_omid).
In the clip, which has racked up 27.2m views and over 921,000 likes, he shows the flowing river of red down the sandbank.

The once-in-a-lifetime moment was captured on Hormuz Island, a piece of land in the Persian Gulf.
Its shoreline is said to be like something “from another planet”.
And the red beach, with its striking crimson sand and waves, is due to the island’s rich mineral deposits, reports What’s The Jam.
In the video, filmed on the 8 February, he is shown walking on top of a small mountain as the heavy rain pours down.
As he continues to show his view, the red river flows down straight into the ocean.

He captioned the post: “Heavy rain today at red beach. Today, the red beach was at its peak with the presence of tourists.”
