The team is currently top of Division One of the Stroud and District Football League in Gloucestershire.
Adams, who won 10 major trophies with Arsenal and won 66 caps for England, takes a keen interest in the club.
The 59-year-old owned a plush mansion nearby which he reportedly sold to Oasis star Liam Gallagher in December.
As well as sending encouraging words to the players, he offered Minchinhampton’s manager advice on a player switch, as reported by What’s The Jam.
Tony said: “This a shout-out to Minchinhampton Football Club – come on guys.

“Top of the league I hear at the moment.
“But most importantly I want you to stick Mike up front.
“I think he’s got to go there – one assist, one goal in the last couple of games.

“Just get him up front man. Get him up front and you’ll win the league.
“Come on Minchinhampton. God bless.”
A club spokesperson responded: “Thanks for the shout-out Tony Adams.

“You made the Minchinhampton Football Club gaffer and Arsenal fan Martyn Lowe a very happy man.
“Not sure he will follow your advice on this one though.”
