Football fans have slammed a pale and bland-looking hot dog served up at a League One match.

The half-time snack cost £4.50.

Receiving his hot dog in a tin foil wrap the fan was shocked when seeing the food inside.

An extremely pale sausage was seen sitting on a plain bun.

It was purchased at Northampton Town’s Sixfields Stadium on Saturday (14 Sept).

They played Wycombe Wanderers and lost 2-1 despite taking a fourth minute lead.

The hotdogs meant there was a double whammy of disappointment for supporters, as reported by What’s The Jam.

One fan joked: “Cooked that sausage on a radiator?”

Another said: “You can’t call that a hot dog.”

Chris stated: “Would rather eat the tin foil.”
