Dishy Jesuit influencer dumps priesthood to wed Catholic social media star

A hunky Jesuit influencer ditched the priesthood to marry a Catholic social media star he first met at a religious retreat.

Krzysztof Dzieńkowski was always a believer, but only truly became devout at university.

He even broke up with his atheist girlfriend at the time.

Krzysztof quickly felt called to the priesthood, telling What’s The Jam: “I wanted to serve God fully and felt called to become a Jesuit.”

But his religious path eventually brought him face to face with the love of his life, Klaudia Domańska.

Klaudia, a UCL law graduate, discovered her faith during a dark chapter of violence.

“My crisis came when I suffered domestic abuse and depression,” she recalled.

“It was in the Netherlands where my conversion began – God helped me leave a toxic relationship and start a new life.”

Both Krzysztof and Klaudia built large online followings, posting about faith, prayer, and Catholic values.

After nine years in the order, Krzysztof met Klaudia properly in 2022 at one of his religious events.

“He was my spiritual guide during the silent retreat,” she explained. “Later, we attended a Christian formation school in Warsaw together for eight months.

“Initially, we had no romantic feelings, only friendship and shared mission work.”

But friendship slowly blossomed into love.

“For me, it was like the disciples on the way to Emmaus, suddenly recognising the risen Christ,” Klaudia said. “For Krzysztof, it was admitting his deep love and courage to face a path he thought impossible.”

The pair eventually moved in together – but for Krzysztof, that meant formally giving up the cassock and his online alias Krzychu the Jesuit.

In April, he married Klaudia, sparking a wave of both praise and criticism from followers.

Despite the backlash, the couple insist they remain devoted to the Church – just in a different way.

“God led me to spend nine years in the order and ultimately to meet Klaudia,” Krzysztof said.

Klaudia added: “God chose a different way for us, and we are happy.”
