A man has revealed how he lives in a huge castle overlooking Christ the Redeemer for free – thanks to a handy travel hack.

Dante Fiorani, who is currently in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, has been sharing what it is like to live like a king with his 3.3m TikTok followers.

But his fans have been left baffled over how the 25-year-old can afford it.

Dante has now revealed that while the 17th-century castle once served as a private mansion, one part of the building is currently being used as a hostel, as reported by What’s The Jam.

And because he’s living there as a volunteer, he doesn’t have to pay a penny.

In a video, which has now gathered 182,000 views, he said: “I can’t believe where I’m living.

“The owner of this castle used to own half of Santa Teresa.

“He died, but it was left to his sole heir.”

Dante said that the project to convert the castle into a part-hostel was initiated by an Argentine and a Frenchman, while they continue to look for a permanent buyer for the property.

The property, known as Château De Saint-loup, also hosts weddings and events on the other side.

He adds: “We have a play area, a ping-pong table, a pool, and lots of fun because it’s Carnival season.”

He also showed that every room in the mansion has a view of Christ the Redeemer.

He adds, “I wanted to travel without spending my savings, so I decided to volunteer.”

Dante said he paid for a few nights’ stay, applied to volunteer at the hostel and was accepted within a few days.

According to him, the work is light. He dedicates only 15 hours a week to specific tasks, which allows him free time to explore the city.

Dante, from Argentina, is also volunteering with his brother, who is in charge of preparing breakfast.

He says he is mostly in charge of the bar in the evenings, while the other volunteers take care of the reception.

Dante’s TikTok post has since gained over 25,000 likes and plenty of comments from followers.

Luisa said, “Genius Dante!”

Alejandro commented: “My dream.”
