A shepherd was stunned when two of his sheep “grew grass” in their wool after heavy rain.
Baffling footage shows one of them, Juani, with thick green patches on either side of her body.
The shepherd, Martín, said: “Have you ever seen a sheep with grass growing in her wool? Well, here’s one.

“It’s rained so much that grass has actually grown in her wool. I’ve never seen anything like it in my life.”
Martín has spent his entire working life in livestock farming in Mijares, in Spain’s Ávila province, as reported by What’s The Jam.
He discovered another of his sheep, Careta, with a strip of turf running down the top of her back.
Though surprised, Martín told local media he knows exactly what happened.
“They stick more than half their bodies into the trough when I feed them hay, and some seeds must have fallen on them, which is what made the grass start growing in their wool,” he explained.
Martín’s sheep “live freely and eat freely”, except when they have lambs, in which case he keeps them in the barn.
The heavy rains lately kept their wool damp, giving the seeds just the right conditions to start growing.
Amused viewers were curious about the grass coat.
Mar joked: “He’s got his own snack just in case he gets peckish.”
And Antonio asked: “Do you shear it, or just run the lawnmower over it?”
Eneko added: “They’re developing camouflage techniques.”
