A snake has left people in awe sporting an incredible smiley face pattern on its skin.
Branden Nicholson, a self-confessed animal lover and breeder, shared the creature’s unusual look on social media.
The ball python was filmed showing off its smiley face pattern across its white scales – racking up over a thousand likes on Instagram.
The nonvenomous reptile is native to West and Central Africa, and has left people in awe online.

Someone else said: “I see [a] smile.”
It’s believed that the cause of the unusual pattern is due to a naturally occurring genetic mutation, known as pied.
The mutation is more common in captivity, where breeders, like Branden, from Florida, US, try to create more of the same snakes with funky patterns – especially ball pythons.

To put how sought after they are into context, back in 2021, a python with a whopping three smiley faces on its skin sold for £4,727.70.
