A mortified moggy stuck up a tree in a hilarious position has delighted pet lovers with its ‘embarrassed’ expression.
The adventurous cat managed to climb up the trunk and onto a branch before seemingly collapsing.
As if strapped into a rollercoaster, with its back legs and front legs either side of the branch, the feline hangs motionless with a wide-eyed look on its face, as reported by What’s The Jam.

Pictures of the cat, being rescued by firefighters, were shared by the National Parks Services and sparked a mixture of delight and concern online.
James said: “He looks embarrassed, mortified even.”
Lana said: “Mistakes were made.”
Emma quipped: “Climb trees they said… poor guy!”
Thankfully the cat was rescued and returned to its owners in good health.

The incident happened in Grand Canyon National Park, in Arizona, US.
In a post shared to X by the park, officials wrote: “Tree-climbing for the purr-fect panorama!
“A huge shoutout to our firefighters and first responders who sprang into action today to rescue a furry adventurer from the heights of a tree at Grand Canyon.

“Can you help us find this kitty’s owner?
“Share this post to spread the word! Located on June 21 around 1 p.m. near Mather Campground on the South Rim.”
The park later shared an update, saying: “Owners have been located.
“Thanks to all for your support and well wishes in getting this kitty home safe!”
Social media users were left tickled by the news and pictures of the unimpressed kitty.
One user said: “So, apparently, Superman wasn’t able to make it to the park for the occasion.”
“Great job firefighters,” added Ella.
“Hereos walk among us,” added another user.
