A woman was horrified to find one of the world’s deadliest snakes curled up next to her bed.
Lurking in her bedroom, unbeknownst to the homeowner, was an eastern tiger snake – the fifth most venomous snakes on the planet.
Eerie footage shows the moment snake hunter Mark Pelley discovered the beast, as featured on What’s The Jam.

In the clip, which went viral on Facebook garnering 1.7 million views, the serpent can be seen coiled up next to a tangle of wires behind a set of drawers, directly beside a bed.
As Mark films, the snake starts to wriggle away, appearing to head under the bed briefly.
The creepy footage garnered thousands of likes and comments.
“How on earth did it get there??” asked one shocked viewer.
Another user wrote: “This is the reason every time I cleaned the bedroom I have to move every furniture in the bedroom.”

“I thought snake season was finishing. This weather is crazy,” someone else commented.
Another person said: “Wow that is unbelievable how scary. Lucky the family noticed it before someone could’ve been bitten. How did it get in? I know they can squeeze into small spaces but was a door left open or something.”
“That makes me feel sick. We had an eastern brown in the house that the snake catchers couldn’t find. It’s always in the back of my mind that it could still be inside,” another user shared.

Luckily, Mark was able to safely remove the snake and released it back into the wild.
The incident took place at a property in Doreen, a suburb in Melbourne, Australia.
