Hero animal care workers have saved the day by rescuing a dog stuck on a narrow ledge above a deadly drop.
Officers were dispatched to the scene after receiving a call about the stricken pooch on Thursday (12 December).
Footage shows the moments rescuers discovered the animal on a narrow ledge on the edge of a motorway overpass.

It was trapped between the crash barrier on one side and a terrifying drop on the other.
Tense footage shows one man carefully placing a large net between the pooch and the void.
Meanwhile, another rescuer manages to loop a leash around its neck, as reported by What’s The Jam.
The care workers were able to lift the dog over the crash barrier and take it to safety in Jacksonville, Florida, USA.
The Jacksonville Animal Care and Protective Services (ACPS) named the bow-wow Myrtle, after the Myrtle Avenue bridge.

The shelter described her deliverance as “one of the best rescues we’ve seen”.
The ACPS wrote on social media: “On Thursday, Animal Services Officers Cooper, Zaharevitz, and Geer, along with Supervisor Gibson, were in their morning meeting when an urgent call came in—a dog had gotten stuck on the side of the Myrtle Avenue bridge on I-95.
“What could have been a devastating story turned into one of hope.

“The officers were able to rescue this terrified dog in an incredibly humane, gentle way, getting her to safety as quickly as possible.
“She has since gained a huge fan club among staff and volunteers and is getting braver and braver every day.”
Andrea commented: “Omg poor baby was so scared. Thank these people for rescuing her!!”
And Cathy wrote: “Oh my gosh. This makes me so sad. Y’all are heroes.”
