The fireman, named Abe Wey, took the cone from the backseat of his vehicle and set about rescuing the trapped puss.
He carefully pushed the kitten’s chubby face through the small gap at the top.
With a final nudge, the cat fell through the cone and onto the ground.
Apparently disorientated, it stumbled over before getting to its paws and letting out a triumphant meow.
The rescue took place in Kelantan, north of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Wey said the stray kitten probably became trapped while curiously exploring the inside of the cone, as reported by What’s The Jam.
One local joked: “Kitty was a spelunker in a previous life.”

“How cute was that last part where he pressed the kitten’s mouth,” said another.
