A firefighter has gone viral “waterboarding” a dog with a powerful hose – but the pooch loves it.
Thomas Stewart II, 34, filmed his five-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer, Leeroy, having the time of his life after a hard day’s shift.
The clip, which has racked up 2.6m views and over 135,000 likes, has left people all smiles.

But some users have been quick to point out the dangers.
In the video, Thomas loads up the hose and proceeds to shoot a powerful spray of water, knocking Leeroy backwards.
The pooch struggles to find his footing, before rushing back for more.
Thomas sprays him again, as another person in the background sweeps up the excess water.
Users have flocked to the comments to share their reactions.

“Is this what my taxes are being wasted on? Good, I need more dogs having fun with hoses,” one person commented.

Kenzie added: “We had a dog that legitimately LOVED to be straight up water boarded with the hose. I was so sure someone was going to call us in for animal abuse but he was having the time of his life.”
“Bro casually enjoying being hit with a water cannon,” Cole said.

Someone else commented: “I’m okay with my tax dollars going to this.”

“Take all my money so he can keep playing in the water,” another user said.
Other people, however, weren’t in favour.
“This pisses me off so goddamn bad I can’t stand it,” one user added.
Someone else commented: “But you’re gonna hurt his eyes,” followed by three angry face emojis.

Thomas, from Utah, US, captioned the post: “Flushing out Bays and keepin the Good Boy Squeaky clean.

“And before some PETA lovin hippie comes for me in the comment section…this furry lil f***er will EAT a ⅞” smooth bore at 50 GPM like it’s a damn Scooby-Snack.
“We have tried to keep him from jumping into the water stream but he LOVES attacking and playing in the water too dang much!
“And who are we to keep this puppers from livin his BEST LIFE.”
Leeroy, who is also Thomas’ service dog, is a “vital” part of the Moab fire department.
“He brings a smile to everyone’s faces as soon as they see him,” he told What’s The Jam.

“Whether it’s the fire chief, our office admin, firemen, or even the public and little kids that come to visit the fire house.
“Everyone loves him.”
