A dizzy cat called Fizzy got in a tizzy after getting stuck for THREE DAYS up a 50ft tree.
Owner, Nicky Gee, was distraught after she went missing on Sunday (12 Jan).
She then heard meowing on Monday (13 Jan).
Firefighters couldn’t reach the marooned moggy.
Fizzy was eventually saved yesterday (14 Jan) by hero tree surgeon, Florian Speight, who plucked her down.
He said the tree was tricky as it was multi-stemmed with skinny branches, half of which were dead.
Florian told What’s The Jam: “It was an awkward climb.
“I was hoping the cat wasn’t going to go any higher.
“I would have been right at the top of the tree near the tips.
“But, we have given the cat potentially seven more years of life, because I don’t think it was going to last much longer up there in this cold weather.
“It was a pleasure to bring her down and get her safe.”
Despite having no sleep or food for days, Fizzy was surprisingly calm.
She was tired when she got home, but is now doing well in Totnes, Devon.
Nicky said: “It was a very tall, awkward tree in a difficult location, but thankfully, Florian got up there.
“In fact, as Florian got higher, I could see the tree wobbling.
“I was anticipating she was going to be scratchy.
“They can be scared in that scenario, but Fizzy was glad to be rescued.
“She acted like a sweetheart and jumped straight into the basket.
“She has had something to eat, something to drink, and is sitting on the sofa as if nothing has happened.”
