A Humpback whale has returned to her favourite fishing spot off the British coast.
Stunning drone footage shows the mammal – called Pi – back at the same spot where she likes to eat.
She has been visiting the Isles of Scilly, off the coast of Cornwall, for three years.

Artist Inga Drāzniece – who captured the video – said: “Pi was showing off by the White Island, St Martin’s.
“We think it must be a favourite spot for fishing at high tide.
“She only appears around this time and stays here for a little while.
She also told What’s The Jam: “At the beginning she was alone but this year it seems there are more whales.”
The Isles of Scilly Wildlife Trust said Pi had been visiting the islands in winter for since 2022 in the winter months.

A spokesperson said: “We can generally identify Pi due to whales being born with markings on their tails and pectoral fins.
“It’s a bit like a fingerprint.”
Cornwall Wildlife Trust said the number of whale sightings off the Cornish coast had “gone through the roof” in the last few years.

Bex Allen said monthly surveys show an increased number of humpback whales which she called “one of the greatest recovery stories”.
The marine conservation officer said humpbacks were charismatic whales.
She said: “They do tend to put on a display, sometimes by breaching out of the water and they fluke.
“So they put their tail flukes out of the water and up in the air when they deep dive.
“They’re one of those whales that everyone wants to see.”
She added experts were unsure why there had been more sightings of humpbacks but it could be because they were feeding before they finished their winter migration to tropical waters.
