A bungling beaver bit off more than it could chew after climbing a tree branch before falling into a pond.
The clumsy creature plunged 4ft into the water.
He was seen clambering along the fallen tree before stopping for a gnaw.

But it quickly lost its footing and slipped off.
The eager beaver was one of a family living in an undisclosed location near Bournemouth, Dorset.
A spokesperson for Dorset Wildlife Trust which runs the Dorset Beaver Project said it was rare to see beavers climbing.
“I think they were just exploring and it fell off,” they said.
DWT Rivers Conservation Officer, Steve Oliver said the beavers were thriving in their habitat, as reported by What’s The Jam.

“The adult pair originally released back in February 2021 settled in from the word go, building dams and modifying the existing freshwater habitat to suit their needs,” he said.
“The building of a lodge and now the subsequent raising of two sets of kits is really encouraging.
“Beavers are a keystone species and the complex biodiverse wetlands they create by doing what comes naturally to them can benefit many other forms of wildlife.”
