A woman has been left shocked after a clinic taped up her lips following a filler procedure.
Kseniia Krainia was stunned when her practitioner applied strips of tape across her mouth after she had the popular treatment.
The beauty content creator, who shares her experiences with her 18,600 followers on TikTok, found out that the taping was part of a new technique.

It is designed to help hold the filler in the correct position during the first stages of recovery.
The 23-year-old has been getting lip fillers since the age of 18.
She explained that she previously built up around 3.5ml of filler before deciding to fully dissolve it last year, due to migration issues.
But after living without filler for some time, she changed her mind again, leading her to begin adding volume back gradually and cautiously.
She also shared a clip of her new lips to TikTok, with the tape on, which has since gained 841,000 views.
“I recently went back to the same specialist I had all those years ago as she now works with a new technique,” Kseniia, from Kyiv, Ukraine, told What’s The Jam.
“It includes using tapes to help fix the filler in a more correct position.
“I cannot say for sure how effective it is long term, but according to her recommendation, the tapes were only required for the first 24 hours.”
Kseniia revealed she also has “quite a complex lip anatomy” which means that the natural structure and movement of the lips make cosmetic treatments more challenging than average.
She said: “My lips are naturally tight, and I also have very active facial expressions.
“Because of this, filler tends to dissolve faster for me and can partially migrate.
“I have accepted this as part of my anatomy.
“The recovery itself was manageable, and the tapes were not painful, just unusual.
“Wearing them was more of a psychological challenge than a physical one.
“It was uncomfortable mainly because of how visible it was.
“You are very aware that people will notice it, but I understood why it was recommended, so I followed the advice.
“For me, it was a temporary step in the process.”
She says with dissolving and then re-adding lip filler – most recently in December in Kyiv – she’s also had to deal with a lot of hate online.
Kseniia added: “When I dissolved my fillers and then decided to add them again, I received hundreds of hateful comments every day for about six months.
“People told me I looked better before, that I looked 30 or 40 years old and called me names.
“That experience helped me build a very strong immunity to hate and outside opinions.
“You can never please everyone. Many people believe they know everything and feel entitled to judge or insult someone else’s personal choices.
“At the same time, I am genuinely grateful to every kind person who left supportive comments, compliments, or shared their opinion respectfully.
“I never promote or pressure anyone to get fillers, I am fully in favour of freedom of choice without guilt.
“Every person is unique and has the right to do what they want with their own body, as long as it does not harm others.”
In the video shared to social media, Kseniia can be seen walking to her car after the appointment with the tape on her lips.
She moves her head from side to side to show angles before ending the video.
Since, it has gathered 18,300 likes and hundreds of comments.
Jess said: “Please don’t go back to a practitioner that does this.”
Remy added: “Whoaaa why are we putting pressure on fresh filler?”
Dr Kara said: “Infection risk.”
Someone else added: “This ain’t it.”
Another user said: “The tape is pointless.”
However, some people rushed to the comments to support Kseniia.
One person said: “Man y’all some haters I like it it’s cute. I’ve never got lip filler and even I know what was the goal here y’all just haters.”
Smuna added: “I don’t know what is this but.. she is stunning.”
Someone else said: “Can’t wait to see final results.”
Eva said: “You have the perfect face.”
Em added: “Best thing ever.”
