A savvy shopper found a designer dress worth more than £300 in a charity shop – and it cost her just £2.
Bargain hunter Holly Wood is no stranger to a good find and regularly shows off her cut-price hauls on social media.
But the 39-year-old couldn’t believe her luck on a recent trip to her local charity shop in Manchester, when she spotted a couple of major steals on the shelves.

They included a Michael Kors belt for £2 and a Lulu Guinness purse for £2.50.
However, the big moment of the day came when Holly found an Alexander McQueen dress for just £2.
The mum-of-two described the dress as “beautiful” and said she was “very, very excited” about it.
The dress looks to be the McQ Alexander McQueen Black Distort Stripe Dress, which still retails for around $430 (£320) via luxury reseller websites.
“I didn’t expect to find something quite that luxury in terms of designer, so it was a bit of a shock,” Holly, who is from Manchester, told What’s The Jam.

“I could tell instantly it was made well with lovely materials and design.
“But it wasn’t until I got home & properly inspected the dress, that I realised it was McQueen.”
Holly’s video garnered more than 46,000 views, over 1,000 likes and many comments.

Another viewer wrote: “Fab haul!!! Your charity shops must be amazing!!!”
Someone else added: “OMG – this is a MEGA haul! I want that dress…”
“Gorgeous McQueen dress. Even if it wasn’t McQueen it’s a stunning dress!” said one user.
Another viewer agreed: “I love the Alexander McQueen dress. It’s stunning.”

This isn’t the first time the self-confessed “shopaholic” has bagged a designer bargain either.
Holly added: “I’ve had a lot of luck over the last year finding designer bargains in charity shops, including a Karl Lagerfeld handbag, brand new COS coat and even an Hermes belt.”
Holly said some of the best things she’s found in charity shops include a brand new Marc Jacobs ‘The Snapshot’ bag for £10, and a silk Louis Vuitton scarf for £2.
She also managed to find a mini Karl Lagerfeld handbag for £3, as well as a Hermes ‘H’ belt for £4.
Holly added: “I definitely think I have a talent for spotting quality & seeing through the ‘jumble.’
“My audience often tell me they don’t find anything in their charity shops, but I’m convinced there’s gems in every shop, you’ve just got to know how to look!”
