A dumpster-diving mum has revealed how she scooped up a pricey surprise during a recent raid on the bins.
The thrifty mum, who regularly fishes thousands of pounds’ worth of waste swag from rubbish bins, struck gold with an air fryer worth $219 (£164.09).
Amazingly, the appliance was still in its original packaging, complete with the Styrofoam padding and box.

Tiffany Butler, from Denton, Texas, US, has previously made headlines after revealing she had scored an estimated $80,000 in just two years from dumpster diving.
She also went viral after sharing her top spots to bag top-quality goodies.
The mum-of-four regularly shows off her finds to her 3.3 million TikTok followers on @dumpsterdivingmama.
Her post was captioned: “They tried to hide it!! Not very well I’d say.
“Thanks for the early Christmas present!”

A third added: “Haha not them hiding it with the leaves!! Lol awesome find!”
One viewer, who owns the product, said: “I have that air fryer 2 years now, the best one I ever bought.”
Another wrote: “Awesome find!”
A different fan added: “Great find! Who cares if it’s dented as long as it still works!!!”

In a follow-up clip, Tiffany showed herself opening the box at home and revealed the air fryer was slightly dented on top – but otherwise worked perfectly.
The mum has since turned her unusual hobby into a full-time gig, rescuing thousands of items from landfill.
Her husband, an electrician, helps carry out any necessary repairs. The couple then sell around 75 per cent of the items, donating or keeping the rest.
And Tiffany says she has no qualms about being spotted trawling through trash.
She previously told What’s The Jam: “I’ve been seen. The most they can do is ask me to leave. In that case, I just come back later.

“Check your city’s ordinances.
“Buddy up if you’re scared and don’t make a mess.
“Always leave the dumpster cleaner than you found it.”
Dumpster diving is fully legal in the state of Texas, but Tiffany urges wannabe divers to check their local laws before giving it a go themselves.
