The owner of the world’s largest collection of snow globes has revealed she is selling her entire haul – after spending £130,000 on them.
Wendy Suen, who holds the Guinness World Record for her efforts, is the proud owner of a whopping 4,500 of the glass ornaments.
The 54-year-old started her collection back in December 2000 when her then-husband gifted her a snow globe for Christmas.

From there, the love affair grew, and her home now doubles as a “private museum” for her to showcase them.
But despite her dedication to snow globes, Wendy has decided to part ways with them – and is on the hunt for a buyer to expand the collection even further.
“As I enter a new chapter, I find myself drawn toward minimalism and spaciousness,” Wendy, a Chinese Canadian life coach currently based in Hong Kong, told What’s The Jam.

“Letting go [of them] is not a loss for me, but a form of liberation.
“I feel complete with this collection and deeply grateful for everything it has brought into my life, and I am now ready to pass it forward.

“95% of my snow globe collection is no longer available, and imagine all the hard work to collect every globe from all over the world – that’s priceless.”
Wendy has been quietly considering selling her collection for the past four years, but has only recently decided to go ahead.

But she isn’t going to sell her treasures to just anyone.

Wendy added: “I’m not simply looking to sell a collection – I’m hoping to find a steward.
“Someone who sees the beauty, the history, and the possibility within these 4,500 tiny worlds, and who can continue the story they hold.
“My hope is that the next owner will take the collection even further than I ever could.
“Ideally, I would love to see someone with passion and vision transform it into a public museum –something grand enough to share this enchanting art form with the world, perhaps even inspiring a renewed love for snow globe collecting.
“These pieces deserve to be seen, admired, and enjoyed far beyond the walls of my home.”

Wendy recalls the day her collection began, 25 years ago.
She said: “It started so simply.
“One snow globe, given with love.
“I never imagined it would grow into thousands.”
Her dedication has earned her recognition in the Guinness World Records, with her holding the title of the largest collection of snow globes since 2006.
The collection includes nostalgic Disney and Sanrio pieces, unusually shaped globes, and, Wendy’s favourites, cat-themed designs.
Some of the most treasured items are historical pieces dating back to the 1920s, made in France and collected with care.

The most expensive ornament is a Louis Vuitton snow globe, which cost her £7,500.
Altogether, she estimates the collection represents around £130,000 in value – but for Wendy, its emotional richness far outweighs its monetary worth.
But in recent years, she has undergone a “profound personal transformation” and describes letting go as “part of my growth”.
She added: “It’s not an ending – it’s making space for the new.”
Wendy hopes the future owner will open a public museum and help make the hobby of collecting snow globes “become loved again”.
She added: “I’m looking for someone who can honour these 4,500 tiny worlds and carry forward the magic they’ve held in my life.
