‘I look so much like my mum that people think I’ve had plastic surgery to become her twin’

A daughter, who looks almost identical to her mum, has revealed that people think she’s had plastic surgery to become her lookalike.

Dawn and Cher Hubsher often hit the headlines due to their uncanny similarities.

The pair, aged 64 and 34, both sport long dark hair, the same facial features and youthful visages.

So much so, that even their husbands struggle to tell them apart.

Now, though, one-half of the mother-daughter duo has been accused of going under the knife in a bid to keep up the lookalike facade.

“As I’ve gotten older, I think I look more and more like my mum,” Cher, a content creator, told What’s The Jam.

“Some people even think I’ve had plastic surgery or work done to look like her.

“I promise, I haven’t.

“People frequently compare how I looked at 16 to how I look now, assuming I’ve had plastic surgery because I look different.

“But 18 years can bring a lot of changes.

“Back then, my hair was dyed blonde, so I didn’t resemble my mum as much.

“Now that I’m back to my natural hair colour, the resemblance is much stronger.

“People assume that because we look so alike, plastic surgery must be involved.

“But really, it’s just strong genetics.

“Don’t get me wrong, I think my mum is absolutely beautiful, but I’m not going to spend thousands and thousands of dollars just so I can look exactly like her.

“I’m doing a pretty good job of that anyway – and it’s all for free.”

The pair, from Florida, US, are often mistaken for sisters – or twins – all the time, despite their 30-year age gap.

And it’s caused some embarrassing mix-ups.

Once, her husband, Jared, mistakenly smacked her mum on the bum as they were wearing the same outfit.

Cher’s friends also sometimes get them muddled up, with them not realising who they’re talking to more often than not.

And it’s even caught them out on a few occasions.

She said: “Sometimes we’ll see a photo of one another and be convinced it’s the other person.

“It totally freaks us out.

“Somehow, as time passes, we just naturally resemble each other more.

“My friends love hanging out with her and I think it’s because if you like me, then you’ll definitely love my mum.

“We’re so alike in every way.

“Not just because we look alike, but because we also talk and act so similarly, too.”

Cher’s husband is, in fact, a qualified plastic surgeon; so it’s understandable that people don’t exactly believe her when she denies these claims.

But neither of them cares what others think, as they have a tight bond that won’t ever break.

She added: “I always say I’m so lucky to have a mum and best friend in one.

“We have so much fun together and just get each other so well.

“At least I know what I’ll look like in 30 years.

“And if I age as well as my mum has, there’ll be no need for me to ever go under the knife.”
