A man has revealed his tiny concrete home that has no windows and is so small that he can’t even stand up in it.

The room measures just 35 inches from the floor to the ceiling.

Sonu Kumar pays £40 a month for his humble abode, which includes separate bathroom and kitchen facilities, which are shared with other men, “similar to a hostel set-up”.

While many people would be horrified at the living conditions, Sonu saw an opportunity.

After losing his job at a call centre, he decided to use his space to create videos and shared them online – and he has gained over 129,000 Instagram followers in just six months.

But residing in a concrete and brick box comes with some big challenges as well as unexpected guests – including snakes.

“I was sleeping when a snake suddenly entered my house,” Sonu told What’s The Jam.

“As soon as I saw it, I quietly moved to a corner and sat still.

“I did not try to scare or disturb the snake because I knew that if it panicked, it could react unpredictably and create a dangerous situation.

“After about 30 minutes, the snake calmly left the room on its own.

“I have been residing in this small room for the past five years.

“Previously, I worked at a call centre, and after long work shifts, my only priority was to have a quiet place where I could rest without disturbance.

“I have never invited friends over to this room; instead, they usually invite me to their homes.

“Regarding the bathroom and kitchen facilities, they are separate – similar to a boys’ hostel set-up.”

Sonu’s front door is a small wooden hatch with a curtain and leads to a small space where he keeps a mattress on the floor, along with a fan, a charger for his phone and a ring light.

The content creator understands that people are stunned by his home but explains that in his Indian home state, “this type of room is considered quite normal, so there is nothing unusual about it”.

Viewers online frequently share their thoughts on the concrete space, too.

“Another reason for thanking god for everything,” said Arib.

“What happens if the roof collaps??,” asked another concerned viewer.

“Low-key dream home,” joked Abdul.

Someone else suggested: “Also make a gaming setup in your room with laptop.”

“Claustrophobia fears bro,” said someone else.

Sonu is now a fully-fledged influencer with his humorous videos resonating with audiences worldwide.

He added: “I started content creation after I lost my job at a call centre.

“During my free time, I began writing stories and creating videos based on them.

“[My viral success from my first upload] motivated me to continue creating content.”
