A great-great-grandmother known for her love of Fireball has celebrated another year around the sun.
Florence Hackman has hit headlines in the past for her boozy trick to old age – crediting the cinnamon whisky for keeping her alive for over a century.
Flo – as she’s also called – has just turned 106 years old.

To celebrate the joyous occasion, she has shared some more tips on how to live a long life.
“I just try to be nice to people and try to go one day at a time – that’s all,” Flo told What’s The Jam.
“If you get that one day in, then you can go on to the next one.
“So that’s what you’ve got to do – one day at a time – think what I’ve got to do today.
“You’ve got to keep moving as long as you can.

“I also love Fireball whisky, and last year, I led my friends and family in drinking a celebratory shot during my birthday party.”
Flo, from Cincinnati, Ohio, was born on 16 December 1918.
She lives at the Traditions of Deerfield care home, which held an event for her last Saturday (14 December).

Flo says her mum lived to be 104, so longevity runs in the family.
She said: “I am the youngest of nine children and am now a great-great-grandmother.
“I’ve aged well.”
People say Flo is vibrant and energetic, and loved by everyone who knows her.
Her children, Rick and Joanna and daughter-in-law Nicki, also say her key to living a full life has been her positive attitude, especially after breaking her pelvis in 2018.
She said: “I was a homemaker later in life after her career working for an insurance company.
“I was born just a few weeks after World War I ended, when Woodrow Wilson was president.
“That same year, an influenza epidemic dropped life expectancy in the U.S. by 12 years.
“The U.S. Post Office began the first airmail service in the world, and the Boston Red Sox defeated the Chicago Cubs in the World Series.”
But now, after everything Flo has been through, she plans on living it up in the care home.
She added: “I am a big fan of the Bengals football and wear my team jersey on game days.
“My favorite players are Joe Burrow, Sam Hubbard and Chad Johnson.”
On her birthday she enjoyed singing, cake and talking about traditions.
Maybe there will be something new for next year…
