An astrologer has predicted the UK property market is about to turn in favour of younger buyers – with bargain homes and a boom outside the cities.

Celebrity psychic Inbaal Honigman says the countryside is set to surge in popularity, while city centres will lose their shine.

The 51-year-old, who has previously made eerily accurate predictions including the 2024 I’m A Celebrity winner, Molly-Mae and Tommy Fury’s breakup, and Oscar winners, is now turning her tarot cards on the housing market.

Using the cards, Inbaal claims to have foreseen where will thrive, which areas will be most affordable – and why 2026 could be a golden year for first-time buyers.

And according to the star psychic, city living is on the way out.

“The nation’s escape to the country is not over yet,” Inbaal, from Holmfirth, West Yorkshire, told What’s The Jam.

“The Tarot reveals a huge number of new builds on previously green hills and in the fertile valleys.

“These homes need to sell, and will be affordable even for the younger would-be home owners.”

Inbaal says quieter rural areas are due a burst of new life while city centres are set to dip in popularity, with shops shutting and prices staying stubbornly high.

She said: “The Knight of Pentacles Tarot says that the farming community will welcome the working-from-home community, and formerly sleepy villages will grow into thriving towns.

“While the villages thrive, city centres will be less appealing than ever in 2026, with shops closing down and prices remaining high.

“The 10 of Wands Tarot card reveals bad news for the high street, and more chains will collapse into administration.”

But while big-name brands may be in trouble, Inbaal believes small independent businesses could benefit.

She said: “The year is great for new small businesses, as the sudden availability of newly empty restaurant and shop spaces will drive prices down for trade properties.”

And it’s even better news for those dreaming of getting their first set of keys.

Inbaal added: “The World Tarot card is the highest card in the deck. It says that 2026 is a wonderful year for first-time buyers.

“Those who want to get on the property ladder will not find a better year than 2026, and anyone going through a divorce or a separation will find it easier to turn over a new leaf with a bargain new home.”
