A tourist was left tickled after she spotted the eye-watering price of a Hawaiian pizza at an Italian restaurant.
Valentina Trujillo Olivares shared a video of herself browsing the eatery’s menu.
It’s cheapest pizza – the Margherita – was listed at a reasonable €9.45 (£8), and the Tirolese and the Semplice – each cost €14.70 (£13).

But the most expensive pizza – the Hawaii – was listed at a whopping €100 (£87).
Valentina, 27, said: “I’m at an Italian restaurant and look how much the Hawaiian pizza costs – 100 euros!”
The Chilean designer and student filmed the clip at Sotto Prosciutteria in Gżira, Malta.
“The first thing that caught my attention was that it would cost 100 euros, and that they put it on the menu, despite being a restaurant that specialises in Roman pizza,” she told What’s The Jam.
“That’s when I understood the Italians’ hatred for pizza with pineapple.”

Out of curiosity, Valentina asked if the divisive dish was actually available.
She said, “I didn’t order it because of the face the waitress made, and she recommended the house speciality – calzone.”
Valentina posted the video on Thursday (10 Jul).

It has since racked up a whopping 2.7m views and more than 2,000 comments.
One person wrote: “Snobbery. Pizza was historically a slab of dough onto which you threw some leftovers, and put it in the oven for seven minutes.
“If you have pineapple leftovers and like the taste, what the hell is wrong with that?”
Raymond said, “That’s a marketing strategy to make the other prices seem cheaper.”
A third person joked: “I don’t eat Hawaiian pizza because I like it, I eat it to watch Italians suffer.”
A fourth person said: “It’s actually €10 for the pizza and a €90 charge for the disrespect.”
And a fifth remarked: “Hawaiian pizza is literally perfect during a hot summer day; the haters are just missing out.”
Valentina added: “I was surprised that the video reached so many people – in fact, many Latinos, especially Mexicans, where pizza with pineapple is apparently very common, as well as many Italians defending traditional Italian pizza.
“But it’s a debate that will continue for a long time.
“In the end, it’s an interesting cultural mix – nowadays, you can even find pizza with Nutella and strawberries.”
