A tourist has been slammed after complaining about her pricey room service with “minimal amount of food”.
Tina Patterson was left stumped after just three small portions of food were dropped off at her door.
Despite the 52-year-old spending £100 ($139.89) on room service, she received the items in standard takeaway containers rather than plates – with the presentation leaving a lot to be desired.
Sharing her shock online, the video racked up over 329,000 views but surprisingly, many people are slamming her complaint rather than the hotel’s room service.
“I was shocked when room service came,” Tina, from Kailua, Hawaii, told What’s The Jam.
“I know it cost $139 but it all came in take-out boxes.
“I ordered it and I made this video because I just wanted to let people know how expensive Hawaii is – room service or not.”
Tina was staying at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki with her husband to watch their son’s canoe race.
She ordered three dishes: a fruit plate, scrambled eggs, bacon and rice and a portion of Loco Moco – a Hawaiian dish that consists of white rice, a hamburger, a fried egg and brown gravy.
The order also included an orange juice and two waters.
Viewers slammed Tina for complaining about the price.
One person said: “Room service comes with a price. The convenience. The delivery to your room. There is a cost for everything.”
Another person added: “You knew the price before you ordered and still ordered it.”
One other person said: “You ordered room service in Waikiki, what did you expect?”
One person added: “Play tourist games, pay tourist prices.”
Another person said: “Who in their right mind would even order that knowing how much it is.”
