A man dubbed the “King of Benidorm” who has hosted hundreds of hens and stags in the infamous party spot has shared the biggest mistakes “legless” Brits make when they visit.
Frank ‘The Stag Man’, as he is best known online, hails from Tottenham but made the Spanish coastal town his home long ago after attending a stag himself.
These days, the 54-year-old is happily married to Jade, who is Benidorm’s ‘most legendary stripper’.

That doesn’t stop him from hosting one hell of a bash for other budding brides and grooms.
After 14 years of partying, Frank knows one thing: Not everyone can handle what Benidorm throws at them.
“The biggest mistake I’ve seen brides – and especially grooms – make is when it comes to drinking,” the travel agent and bar owner told What’s The Jam.

“The measures here are very different to the UK and Ireland.
“They’re downing the drinks in Brit mode, like they’re at a beer garden on a Sunday afternoon watching the footy.

“And before they know it, they’re legless.
“The measures here are very big, with a double vodka typically half a pint glass full and a dash of mixer.”
Frank has also seen his fair share of soon-to-be married people missing out on the party entirely.

He said: “They just don’t know their limits.

“It leads to them hurting themselves or being a nuisance.
“And then the morning after, they’re too hungover to carry on and end up missing out.
“It makes me sad, as I always think that they’ve wasted so much money travelling to Spain doing something they could’ve done at home.
“At least lying in bed the next day wouldn’t matter then.”
Frank also warns against making a group accommodation booking through shady websites – simply because it isn’t allowed.
He said: “These websites don’t often state on the booking that groups aren’t allowed.

“It’s not just the trouble people will cause, it’s the fact that these businesses don’t want half their hotel booked out for just a few days, when they could’ve had multiple guests stay for a week.
“I’ve heard it too many times: ‘Oh we’ve been refused at our hotel’ or ‘We’ve been kicked out with nowhere to stay’.
“It’s just not worth it.
“Look at a reputable agent who can do all the legwork for you.
“Otherwise you’ll be spending your send-off to married life sleeping on the streets.”

Frank, who once hosted 200 hen and stag dos in one day, has previously urged people not to believe how the country is portrayed on television.
Though he does believe that “what happens in Benidorm, stays in Benidorm”.
But there are a few rules to be mindful of.
Frank added: “If you’re down the beach with the lads – or ladies – don’t try to outsmart the police.

“Groups often turn up and think it’s easy to do whatever they want.
“For example, drinking on the beach is a complete no-go.
“You’ll be slapped with a hefty fine.
“And don’t go there for any late-night swims, as they’ll charge you for that, too.”
Frank also advises tourists to always carry cash, as cards can often be declined.
And to be careful if you are paying by chip and pin, as some bars have been known to add a few zeros to the total or double charge Brits.
