Even the shops on deck were filled with water.
The incident occurred on the Sky Princess cruise ship that holds over 3,000 guests, as reported by What’s The Jam.

Staff onboard the ship quickly covered the floor with towels as the crew attempted to fix the problem.
Guests were left in a state of panic after technical issues caused false alerts of fires and an unnecessary evacuation notice.
Wallis, of Poole, Dorset paid £1,000 for his ticket through Princess Cruises and was accompanied on the cruise by his family.

The ship set off from Southampton and visited La Carina and Bilbao in Spain, as well as Soulac and Cherbourg in France.
The flood took place on Tuesday (8 Apr) at 10:45pm.
The family are still on board the cruise ship with crew members still attending to the excess water.

“It was very scary as there was a real lack of communication,” Wallis told Luxury Boat News.
“My grandmother was extremely distressed as a technical issue wrongly informed passengers that there were fires in cabins and in the corridors.
“This scared us even more.
“Once I saw the actual amount of water coming out I was still worried, but they did deal with it very quickly
“They didn’t tell us to evacuate but closed off the area where the flooding was.
“The pool emptied itself during the night through a damaged a pipe which then burst.
“A lot of people were unable to sleep afterwards due to the panic of the emergency alarms.
“I expect quite a lot of complaints from other guests.”
A Princess Cruises spokesperson said: “On the evening of 8 April, a pipe burst on deck seven of Sky Princess that resulted in water accumulating in the Piazza on deck five and six.
“Our shipboard teams immediately shut off the water and began clean-up of the spaces.
“Evening entertainment in other venues were not interrupted, and guests were able to return to the Piazza the morning of 9 April.
“Sky Princess departed Southampton on 5 April and is scheduled to return on 12 April.”
