An influencer has been mocked after changing her euros to dollars for a trip to Ibiza.
Shannis, who has over 150,000 Instagram fans, made the claim live on the Spanish chat show El Sótano Club.
She said she changed all her holiday cash into US dollars because she thought Ibiza was in another country.

The influencer said she carried out the full exchange at the airport before boarding her summer flight.
Viewers then piled in, calling the story either breathtaking ignorance or a deliberate bid for clicks.
The clip, aired by channel TEN TV on 10 September, showed host Alba Carrillo stopping her and asking her to say it again.

Shannis told the panel: “When I went to Ibiza I went and changed all my euros into dollars.”
She said she was gobsmacked when she went to pay and was told the bill was five euros.

Carrillo cut back in: “Hang on, you went to Ibiza and changed euros into dollars. To Ibiza – but what for?”
Shannis replied: “I don’t know, love. I thought, they’re not going to take my notes here, and I had to change the whole wad. At the airport.”

Carrillo said the hop from the coast is only about 20 minutes.

She added: “My God, the commission they must have hit you with at the airport. But come on, what country is Ibiza?”
The influencer said she realised Ibiza was part of Spain when she tried to pay in euros, and she then changed the dollars back.
The same segment also had her learning that Paris is in Europe and that no passport is needed for that flight.
She reportedly identifies as non-binary and a cross-dresser, prefers to be addressed in the feminine, and is not planning a full transition
