A doctor has revealed that he removed watermelon seeds, a grape stem, putty and even a cockroach from a kids’ ears.
Doctor André Neri carried out the procedures to clean the child’s lug holes.
He said: “Who said that only wax comes out of ears?”
It opens with the otorhinolaryngologist squirting water from a syringe into the boy’s left one.

He giggles as the warm water enters his ear canal at the hospital in Brasília, Brazil.
As Dr Neri empties the syringe, a small object drops from the lad’s ear into the metal basin being held beneath it.
“Blue putty,” comments the doctor as the camera zooms in on the object.
The clip then cuts to stills of other bizarre items Dr Neri has removed from his young patients’ ears.

The images show three watermelon seeds, a grape stalk and even a cockroach, which was apparently removed with pincers.
Dr Neri told local media that it’s common for children to put things in their ears and up their noses, as reported on What’s The Jam.
He said he’s previously found pencil tips, pieces of fruit, small insects and even batteries in his young patients’ ears and nostrils.

The doctor advised: “Parents should be vigilant if the child starts scratching their ear a lot, complaining of pain, or having an excess of wax.”
In these situations, experts recommend taking the child to an otorhinolaryngologist, as home removal attempts can worsen the problem.
Only a small minority of cases require surgery.
