Shoppers have mocked an online clothing brand’s dress that ‘requires assembling’ – likening it to something that would be sold in IKEA.
Fashion Nova is no stranger to unique clothing choices, but a sequin lace-up dress has raised a few eyebrows online.
A model tried on the garment – named the ‘After Party Chic Sequin Mini Dress’ – and showed how it appears to be minuscule and in need of some DIY action before being appropriate to wear in public.

Holding it in front of her, the woman shows the sequin number without any lace tying it together – leaving it to gape open at the sides.
She ties up the sides, which have eyelet openings, and appears stunned when the dress fits.
While it does eventually piece together, there are still large open panels along the sides – making it a rather daring choice even once assembled.
The video garnered 13,000 likes and comments from baffled viewers, reports What’s The Jam.
“Or you could just get a dress that comes assembled,” wrote one person.

“Looks itchy,” added someone else.
Another viewer added: “Excuse me ma’am. I would like to know how we pee in it.”
“Not for me. I’m not doing and threading on nothing. It better come stitched up,” said Kat.

“Ain’t nobody got time for thar ikea dress…get somebody else to build it!,” said another shopper.
“Girl you never turn around so we could see what it looks like,” said someone else.
Another shopper added: “Nobody’s got time for that.”
However, a spokesperson for Fashion Nova confirmed the dress does, in fact, come already assembled.
The dress retails at £49 online and also comes in black.
The brand previously made headlines for a two-piece bikini that raised eyebrows thanks to its minuscule design.
While the purple bikini covers all the essentials on top, the bottom half tells a different story – with a thin piece of material and a jewelled ‘butterfly’ leaving nothing to the imagination.
