A zoned-out bloke took a leash for a walk after the family pet dog slipped out of it on the doorstep.
The hilarious scenes were caught on a video doorbell camera.
The footage shows how Michael Aversa stepped out the front door with his brother’s dog, Brody.

He was walking the harnessed pooch on a leash as he headed down the stairway.
Brody was walking a close distance behind him, but at the bottom of the staircase, the harness came apart.
It slipped over the pooch’s head, but Michael remained oblivious as he carried on his way with the empty leash in his hand.
He crossed the road with the harness on the end of the leash dragging behind him along the ground.
Only about 15 seconds later, when he was several yards away, did he realise Brody was nowhere to be seen.

He could be seen scanning the area looking completely puzzled, as reported by What’s The Jam.
He had no idea that Brody was still sitting patiently in the doorway in Toronto, Canada.
Michael’s brother, Marco, explained: “I let my brother, Michael, walk my dog, Brody.

“He didn’t put Brody’s coat on properly, and when he went to walk him, the coat came off.
“He didn’t realise until he was at the end of the road. When he realised, he thought he’d lost the dog.”
Marco was at work when he watched the footage for the first time after being notified through an app on his phone.
He recalled: “I was laughing so hard.
“And shocked how Brody just stayed there and did not move.”
