A series of bizarre wavy bicycle lanes has left cyclists and pedestrians baffled.
Some locals argued they are designed so cyclists and scooter users moderate their speed.
Other residents pointed out that this section of the greenway is not yet finished and open for use.
The white markings appeared on the Odiel-Tharsis Greenway, located between Huelva and Gibraleón in Andalusia, Spain.

The path is expected to be opened during the first half of 2024 and the markings could still change in that time.
However, the local authorities have yet to provide an official reason for why the lines are painted in such a way at this present time.
One local claimed: “Inconceivable, baffling, it could kill someone.
“I’ve never seen anything like it.”
They joked: “Was the painter drunk?”
Another added: “They spend money on absurd things, now they will have to pay for it to be removed and repainted.”
Miguel commented: “It’s halfway between bad taste and absurd.”
Rafael complained: “Seriously, nobody gives us an explanation for this s*it.”
Francisco quipped: “Whoever painted it must have had a lot of problems with wind that day.”
