The UK’s smallest glazed window has become a tourist sensation – with visitors leaving rave reviews.

The narrow window looks just like a thin crack in the wall.

But upon closer inspection, visitors can just about see the glass.

The minuscule peephole is attached to the George Hotel in Hull, East Yorkshire.

It reads: “The George Hotel is one of Hull’s oldest surviving public houses and can be dated back to 1683.

”It is also home to England’s smallest window which is rumoured to have been used in the days when The George was a coaching inn.

”A porter was seated at the window to watch for the coaches so as to give immediate attention on arrival.”

”Everyone I know was so jealous that I got to see this, I feel sorry for anyone who hasn’t.

”5/5

”10/10 stars

”No.1 Hull attraction.”

Another person, Andrew Nell recently visited the attraction.

He said: “England’s smallest glazed window is on the left side of the archway entrance to the George Hotel.

”It is only about two centimetres wide, now easy to find as there is a brass plaque telling the story of the tiny window next to it.

”It is well worth looking for if you are interested in Hull’s history.”
