A cheeky schoolboy left a note in his window asking passersby for £5 if they were spooked by his Halloween decorations
Jasper decked his living room window out in spooky crafts that he’d made.
Unbeknownst to his mum, the eight-year-old also wrote a note that read “If I scared you, leave a fiver please” and stuck it in his living room window.

Some generous walkers decided the display was creepy enough to post a five pound note through the door.
Mum Ali, 38, was baffled when she found the money sticking through the letterbox.
When she took Afghan Hound Carmen for a walk a couple of hours later she spotted the cheeky message.
“When I spotted the fiver I was baffled,” Ali, of Easington, Teesside, told What’s the Jam.
“As soon as I realised it was obviously posted off the back of Jasper’s sign I was in stitches laughing and went to ask him about his sign and to tell him the success it had for him.

“It came as no surprise really that he thought to do something like this.”
The mum-of-two said the savvy schoolboy is always looking for new ways to make a bit of pocket money.
She said: “When I asked him about his reason for making it he said ‘well it’s getting a bit cold now so I can’t put out my weekend shop for walkers and dogs so it’s a good way to make money in the winter’.

“He set up a shop In the summer and made over £30 in one weekend alone selling dog treats and biscuits to passing walkers.
“He put out a free bowl of dog water and also a water dispenser with disposable cups to give walkers free water in the hope he could up sell some of his items.
“We regularly attend a local car boot sale in the summer too and if we are selling he is always the first to try and persuade people to buy.
“He also enjoyed the challenge of taking £5 around with him and using his best manners and charm to haggle the prices down of anything that he wanted to buy.”
Dog groomer Ali shared a clip of her discovering the note on TikTok and the video has racked up more than 370,000 views.
In the footage, a fiver can be seen poking through the letterbox.
When Ali walks around to the front of the house and spots the poster, she bursts out laughing.
She says: “So I’ve just come into the porch to find a five pound note posted through the letterbox.
“No envelope, no nothing.
“I’m thinking ‘who on earth has posted five pounds through the letterbox?’
“Then, I took the dog for a walk up the lane before it got dark.
“Jasper did some Halloween crafts yesterday. So he’s put the pictures in the window.
“The pictures actually fell down. With this sign. ‘If I scared you, please leave five pounds.’
“I can’t cope with this kid.”
Jasper plans on leaving the sign up until Halloween to see how much cash he can make.
Ali added: “He said he just thought of the idea himself to put the sign and picture in the window and that he was shocked and happy it had worked.
“He still hasn’t decided what he’s going to spend the £5 on.”
