Cambridge United have been ridiculed over their new away kit that looks like Wetherspoons plate.
The League One club’s second strip has a blue and white patterned design.
It is inspired by water lilies on the River Cam, which runs through the city.

But fans have mocked it saying it looks like a plate from the budget pub chain.

One said: “Spoons dinner plate.
“Nan has a crockery set like that,” added another user.
“What the hell’s that,” a third said.

The kit has been sponsored by BrewBoard and made by Umbro, as reported by What’s The Jam.
Cambridge United’s website reads: “The eye-catching vibrant away shirt was initially inspired by the plethora of water lilies along the River Cam.
“With the imagination growing further afield to an aqua-inspired floral baroque design, which can often be seen in far-eastern pottery.”
Adult shirts start at just £48 and shorts come in at £24.
Junior shorts start at £21 and shirts weigh in at £38.
