The boozer namechecked by Taylor Swift has been slammed by customers over the food.

One claimed they were only served seven chips with their £17.50 battered cod.

Another said the pasta dishes were too small and there was a lack of desserts.

A third criticised the roasts – which cost up to £22 – at The Black Dog pub in Vauxhall, south London.

They said they had soggy Yorkshire puddings and it was overpriced.

Megastar Swift, 34, has a track named after the boozer on her new The Tortured Poets Department album.

But diners at the pub have given mixed reviews on Tripadvisor.

Norman Bridges claimed: “Great pub, lovely service staff.

“Only downfall was when one of our party ordered the fish and chips. He received seven chips.

“Bit of a let down to be honest.”

Another claimed: “Service is great, attentive, friendly and quick.

“Unfortunately the food was average and overpriced.

“I think I paid £18 for a cauliflower steak roast.

“Really bland, not much taste, Yorkshire was soggy and the veg gravy seemed like 90% oil.

“If the highlight of a roast is the horseradish sauce something is wrong.

“However, a friend had the mushroom risotto which was delicious.”

Ailis went with her husband and said: “We visited here as a family.”

“We didn’t know when we booked about the recent Taylor Swift fever that has engulfed this traditional style pub.

“Between us we had the half chicken and chips, Caesar salad and fajitas and a side of macaroni cheese.

“We all enjoyed our meals which were well cooked.”

But she claimed: “My husband was just a little disappointed that there were no large pasta options.

“Tapas is obviously one of their niches and I would have liked to try that.

“Perhaps could have a couple more dessert options but otherwise a good range of choices.

“Service was efficient. Kitchen on display which is always reassuring.”

Yet one – named Michelle – said: “Definitely a recommendation for Swifties.

“Loved it so much and made the song come to life.

“Loved to see the place that inspired the song.”

And another said: “Dropped in for lunch during a walk.

“Very nice menu, the grilled Caesar Salad with chicken was the bomb.

“Nice beverage selection, garden, indoor and street side seating, very accommodating service.”

The Black Dog has been besieged by Taylor Swift fans since the song was released.

They are also selling merchandise to mark it, as reported by What’s The Jam.

The Black Dog has been approached for comment.
