A Love Island winner who scooped £50,000 on the show has been left fuming after being hit with a £1,200 council tax bill she doesn’t even understand.
Toni Laites, who made history as the first ever American to win the hit UK series alongside partner Cach Mercer, was stunned when the letter landed on her doormat this week.
The 25-year-old influencer, originally from Connecticut, has had a whirlwind few months since leaving the villa.

After claiming she’d become homeless just two months after her win, Toni has now finally settled into life in the UK – only to discover the joys of paying British bills, as reported by What’s The Jam.

The former pool waitress couldn’t believe her eyes when she received a £1,200 council tax demand in the post on Tuesday (28 Oct).
Taking to social media in disbelief, Toni ranted: “I swear, this country just be making s*** up to charge you for.
“Because what is a council tax?
“Who is the council?

“That’s like fifteen hundred US dollars.
“I’ve been here for five days.
