Jamie Oliver has been slammed for trying to reinvent classic 70s dish bubble and squeak in his air fryer.
The culinary favourite is usually made from leftover potatoes and cabbage that is mixed together and fried in a pan.
Throughout the years, Brits have been whipping it up with what’s left from their Sunday roasts.

The TV cook used cabbage, spuds and carrots.

He mashed the potatoes up and chopped the remaining veg before combining the ingredients together and rolling the mixture into small balls.
He then placed them in the air fryer, tossed in olive oil and fresh woody herbs.
Oliver, 49, cooked them for 15 minutes at 190 degrees or until ‘beautifully crisp’, as reported by What’s The Jam.
But despite the rising popularity of air fryers in households across the nation, many Brits were left fuming by the recipe.

Gary Roberts said: “Bubble and squeak, what we had when we had leftovers after a roast dinner.
