His boots have now become the highest selling item on the charity’s eBay site after being snapped up for £5,050.
The listing got 51 bids in just one week.

Signed twice along the soles and inside of the boots, they were worn by Dave for the Gold Spirit CD Tour announcement.
Spirit was the fourteenth studio album by Depeche Mode, released in 2017 by Columbia and Mute Records.
“I just can’t get enough of these boots,” Martin Longshaw, of the British Heart Foundation, told What’s The Jam before they sold.

“It’s not every day you receive a direct donation from a famous musician and we couldn’t be more grateful to Dave for donating this fancy footwear to the British Heart Foundation.
“These are a great collector’s item or a fashion statement and whoever snaps them up is very lucky.”
Money from the sale of the boots will go towards funding the British Heart Foundation’s lifesaving research into heart and circulatory diseases.
