A woman has been dubbed the ‘UK’s ghostbuster’ as she’s taking on the world’s most haunted objects to keep Brits safe and sound.
As Candice Collins jolts awake from a suspicious sound heard in the night, she doesn’t panic.
In fact, she feels relieved, as it means the dark entities making the noise are kept away from harming anybody else.

It’s something the 43-year-old has vowed to do ever since taking on the UK’s most haunted doll, Norman.
Now, she’s created her own museum of dangerous – and potentially deadly – items to keep the public safe in her back garden.
“I spend each day researching the paranormal to keep Britain away from any harm,” the paranormal investigator, from Cornwall, told What’s The Jam.

“If turning my back garden into a haunted trap means that everybody else will be OK, then it’s worth it.
“I’m a skeptic and believer that these items have a story to share – and I need to be the voice for them.

“Some items I don’t feel much, but with others, I’m blown away.
“I feel quite dizzy often and quite nauseous.
“It gets very cold in my house, too.

“The energy in the air feels thick and drains me.
“I suffer from terrible vertigo and never get a good night’s rest.

“But I’m determined to prove there is something attached to these items for the greater good of our country.”
Candice’s mission began after purchasing the infamous doll, called Norman, from Christian Hawksworth.
The dad reported being riddled with bad luck, including an exploding appendix, being shot and his car brakes failing after purchasing the toy for £3 from eBay.
To rid of the curse, he flogged the doll to his next victim – Candice.
She snapped him up for £200 after being pulled in by his baby-like face, blonde locks and striped shirt.

Since then, he’s caused havoc on her life, including a serious decline in her health.
But it hasn’t stopped Candice from her spooky endeavours; it’s spurred her on to do more.
She keeps a demonic clown ventriloquist dummy, called Clive, who has been spotted moving around on his own before.
And a doll that looks so much like a human, she’s convinced there’s a little boy trapped inside.
Her most recent finds, though, aren’t to be reckoned with.
Candice said: “Malinda has a butter lemon ribbon tied into a bow on her blonde hair and wears a pretty flower patterned dress, with a white pinafore.
“Sounds cute, right?

“Well, the skin on her face has been ripped off, revealing her bloody tendons.
“The pain and nightmares attached to her are indescribable.
“It’s said that a Victorian photo album latched onto her, producing this very negative and fearful energy.
“The most scariest thing? Her eyes follow you around the room all the time.”
Other objects include actual patient clothes from Danvers State Hospital.
It was known as one of the most ruthless asylums in America, which has since been pulled down, and had a haunted history.
A sadder tale involves a doll dressed in a bridal gown, which was purchased by a bride’s mother as a wedding gift.
Unfortunately, the bride in question never made the wedding, as the car she was travelling in crashed – killing both her and her father.
The doll was kept in its box ever since.
The energy it radiates is melancholy, but not bad, according to Candice.

Despite seeming harmless, the 43-year-old is convinced that one day the doll will burst out with anger.
Another statue, which even Candice fears, is one that’s painted red – because it’s covered in its creator’s blood.
She said: “The artist was convinced demons had taken over his body, so he expressed him through art and this was his way of showing how he felt.
“He wanted to rid his demons, but was instead labelled crazy.
“It’s created with his blood as the paint and it shows up in specks under illuminated light.
“Sadly, he’s since passed away, but his attachment remains to it.
“It’s caused a lot of unwanted activity and is something that must be kept away from children at all times.
“My friend once gifted me a mini wind–up musical piano, which gives me the heebie-jeebies.
“It seems to have a mind of its own and begins playing when I take a photo of it.
“My psychic friend got a really mixed reading from it.
“On most days, it’s fine – but if you don’t play with it, I get a chilling feeling.”
One of her most impressive items is allegedly the first angel on Earth.
Candice said: “Gabe felt different from the other kids, because even though his mission on Earth was to do good through deeds, he had the urge of evil.
“God always kept a close eye on him and they communicated through the night via prayer.
“One day, he did something beyond horrifying; I can’t even bring myself to put it into words.
“God punished him – and he was sent to hell.

“He now possesses this vessel.
“If you look at his eyes, only evil radiates through.
“From my understanding, he wants a master that will tolerate his deadly ways and having him means I experience disturbing images in my dreams.
“I’ve also seen dark shadows in the corners of my home, as well as hearing growling noises.
“He’s now safely locked away in my closet in a box.”
Candice also has a doll, called Baby Jane, that used to be a stage prop and was known to set off alarms during performances.
She’s now stored safely away and taken out for paranormal investigations only.

A final item, of which she’s not had the courage to put on her wall, is a painting of multiple faces.
It came from an old lady, who was also too afraid to hang the piece, despite it being her own work.
Candice took it off her hands; though was warned never to put it on display.
It’s been kept away, though many problems have occurred linked to the painting and many guests have expressed feeling very odd when going nearby, noting a strong smell of must.
Candice hopes her museum will be complete by next year and says all income will be donated to the MIND charity in remembrance of her mum.

She added: “I would rather put myself in the firing line than anyone else.
“As far as bad luck goes, sometimes things go wrong – and I can’t be 100% it’s paranormal – but I guess I’ll find out in the near future.
“I wouldn’t trust any of these things around children.
“And I’m inclined to keep them locked up forever.
“If I unleash them into the public, who knows what disastrous things could happen.”
