A major High Street retailer is hiring around 800 workers ahead of the Christmas rush – with staff getting commission and a 20% discount.
The Perfume Shop has launched a huge recruitment drive for temporary Christmas Sales Assistants across the UK and Ireland.
Vacancies have already opened at selected locations, with hundreds more set to be released throughout September and early October, as reported by Whats The Jam.

Nearly every The Perfume Shop branch is expected to recruit at least one temporary worker.
The retailer is particularly encouraging applications from young people looking for their first job, although roles are open to people at all stages of their working lives.
Successful applicants will work alongside permanent staff during one of the busiest periods of the retail calendar.
Duties will include helping customers choose fragrances and gifts, serving shoppers, replenishing stock and keeping stores tidy.
Previous retail experience is not always required, with the company instead looking for applicants with a positive attitude, an interest in customer service and the flexibility to work during busy periods.

Seasonal workers will receive training in customer service, fragrances and product knowledge.
They will also be able to earn commission on top of their hourly pay and receive a 20% staff discount from their first day.
The discount can be used in stores and online and can also be combined with selected customer promotions.

Some temporary workers could later be considered for permanent roles where vacancies are available.
Michelle Fellows, people, sustainability and development director at The Perfume Shop, said: “Our Christmas perfume people become an important part of our store teams at the busiest and most exciting time of the year.
“With around 800 opportunities becoming available across the UK and Ireland, we’re looking forward to welcoming lots of new faces into the business.

“You’re interacting with customers, learning from experienced people you work with and developing confidence every day, all while helping people find something special for Christmas.”
The retailer said it hopes seasonal workers will come away with new skills and confidence as well as extra income and experience.
Applications can be made through The Perfume Shop’s careers website, with candidates able to search for vacancies near them.
Jobseekers have been advised to apply quickly as individual vacancies may close once enough applications have been received.
Further Christmas Sales Assistant roles will be released throughout September and into early October.
