A Harvard-trained doctor has revealed the cheap foods that slow down ageing – and they’re likely in your kitchen already.
From Botox, to fillers, to supplements that claim to halt the ageing process – getting older is something that’s unavoidable, yet we’re desperate to eliminate the signs of it.
But these methods often come with a hefty price tag and the effects are usually only temporary.

However, there may be a natural, everyday solution to preventing the ageing process from speedily taking hold.
And it can be found lurking in your kitchen.
In a clip, which has racked up 489,000 views and over 7,000 likes, Harvard-trained Dr Saurabh Sethi explains.
“Do you want to age slower? Then eat these eight items,” the 44-year-old told Whats The Jam.

“You get the most anti-ageing fat from extra virgin olive oil.

“You get the most inflammation lowering omega 3s from fatty fish like salmon and sardines.”
Third on the list, which offers the most brain protective polyphenols, is berries, such as blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, goji berries – any kind will do the trick.
Dr Sethi, from California, US, also notes green tea for anti-oxidative protection, and eating nuts for heart healthy fats.

But make sure it’s either walnuts, almonds or pistachios only.
He said: “You get the most immune supporting fermentation benefit from yoghurt or kefir.
“And the most detox activation pathway from cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, cabbage and cauliflower.”
Last, but not least, he notes black coffee for mortality reduction.
He added: “These aren’t anti-ageing myths.
“They’re science-backed foods linked to better longevity markers, metabolic health, skin health and digestion.”
Dr Sethi previously revealed which superfood helps to ease the effects of blue light exposure: eggs.
He says that eating them for two weeks straight not only work toward supporting eye health, but also benefits the brain, hair, skin and nails.
