A woman was left horrified after discovering a ladybird hidden inside a chocolate-coated raspberry snack she had been eating.
Ylenia Prisco, 31, says she was enjoying a pack of the popular Franuì chocolates when she suddenly spotted tiny insect legs sticking out from one of the treats.
The teacher had been eating the frozen raspberry snacks as a quick treat and says she regularly buys them, as reported by Whats The Jam.

But this time, something felt off.
“I’ve been buying Franuì for months and this had never happened before,” Ylenia said.
“I usually eat them in one bite, but that day I decided to break it with my teeth because I’m terrified of insects.”
That split-second decision may have saved her from biting directly into the bug.
“As soon as I saw the little legs, I immediately spat out the pieces I had bitten,” she said.

“Fortunately, I didn’t bite into the ladybug.”
Photos shared online show the partially eaten chocolate sweet with what appears to be the insect lodged inside the raspberry centre.
Ylenia said the discovery left her both worried and angry, especially given the premium price of the product.

“These sweets are quite expensive compared to average snacks, and when I eat I need to feel safe,” she said.
“I understand these things can happen, but it’s still not acceptable.”
After the incident, she contacted customer service by email and Instagram direct message.
According to Ylenia, the company apologised and confirmed a report had been opened into the matter.
She was also told she would be contacted regarding a refund, although she claims she has not yet received anything further.
Ylenia, who works as an elementary school teacher, bought the snack from a Conad supermarket on Corso Trieste in Rome, Italy.
Ylenia’s video was viewed 6.6m times, with 166,000 likes and 433 comments.
